The Vaganova Academy of Brownsville’s mission is to train dancers for extraordinary lives utilizing the Vaganova method of ballet. VAB strives to develop ballet students of the highest technical skill, as well as of high moral character. VAB is about inspiration and hard work, giving children the opportunity to discover joy for the arts, develop confidence, gain high self-esteem, and to find their drive and leadership skills. VAB seeks to benefit the Brownsville and surrounding communities through open community classes, outreach programs, performance opportunities, and merit/need-based scholarships. Since 2020, VAB has given over $40k in scholarships for tuition, uniforms, dance shoes, competition and workshops fees, which directly impacting the youth of our community. VAB looks to inspire children from diverse backgrounds and uplift our underserved community by providing classes for students of all abilities and financial means. VAB is dedicated to providing the finest quality ballet training with personalized mentoring to prepare our dancers to become strong and fully developed artists, ready for international competitions, professional careers or acclaimed college conservatory dance programs. In addition to ballet class, VAB offers character and contemporary dance, as well as multiple Master Class opportunities in various genres of dance each year.
